"LET ART SHINE"
LuLu Kellogg is a jewelry designer from Raleigh, North Carolina. She lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She currently serves on the Executive Committee as a founding member of Inspiration Avenue’s Etsy Global Team. Etsy is an online marketplace for artists with over 170,000 stores worldwide.
LuLu’s jewelry designs have been featured on Wickedly Chic and have been purchased from people from all over the world. From her studio on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, LuLu designs many different styles of jewelry with her first love being designing anything with a coastal theme. Each design she creates is truly imbued with her spirit and soul. One of LuLu’s favorite things to design are lampwork beads. “Lampwork beads are little works of art and they always get my creative chi flowing. I feel these little works of art turn my designs into artwork.” Some of LuLu’s favorite materials to work with are: Sterling Silver, Karen Hill Tribe Silver, recycled glass, trade beads, gemstones, natural stones and all types of metals. With no formal training in the arts, LuLu is a self taught artist that runs a very successful business, Coastal Sisters, along with her business partner and sister, Lisa Wieland of Raleigh and Sneads Ferry.
Each year LuLu donates a special necklace she designs specifically for the Association for Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina’s Foundation for Community Based Care to be given away during their annual charity event. Her designs are also currently carried in shops in Sneads Ferry and Harrington, Delaware. LuLu’s designs have just been chosen to be featured on Vintaj’s website in their Inspiration Gallery in the near future. She has been commissioned to design many pieces for individuals and personal shoppers as well and loves designing custom pieces.
In addition to designing jewelry, LuLu also designs florals, faux cupcakes, pastries and whimsical faux cakes. She also loves painting and repurposing old furniture along with doing custom graphic design for Blog users. LuLu resides on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with her husband Rick -- currently serving his 36th year in the United States Army Reserves -- and their 5 dogs. They are in the process of renovating a 112 year old Victorian home which they will be selling upon completion and moving to Sneads Ferry towards the end of next year. LuLu and Rick look forward to becoming a part of the coastal community of Sneads Ferry.
